As an experienced portfolio manager, you will be analysing, pricing and driving Danske Commodities’ renewable portfolio, acting as an integral part of our ambition to have the most profitable portfolio in Europe!
Here’s what the job entails
In this role, you will act as one of our portfolio managers for a specific European region. As such, you will be responsible for formulating and executing the portfolio strategy, including balancing, pricing and forecasting for short term trading.
Your key responsibilities include:
- managing and analysing a portfolio of renewable and consumption assets, ensuring optimal composition, performance and balancing risk management through quantitative analysis and data analytics
- developing, implementing and improving forecasting and pricing models and tools, utilising machine learning algorithms and big data analytics
- contributing to knowledge sharing across teams, enhancing overall performance through data-driven insights
Meet your team
You will join a team of skilled and motivated portfolio managers dedicated to finding solutions to the challenges around the energy transition. We manage a portfolio of more than 10 GW of wind and solar assets. Our primary area of responsibility is pricing and handling imbalance risk, including forecasting and day-ahead trading.
We work at a high pace and with high ambitions to develop and grow our business. With collaboration as a cornerstone of our daily work, we collaborate closely with short-term traders and originators to enhance the performance of each portfolio, as well as setting the strategic direction moving forward, creating value together.

As you will have the responsibility for a wide range of tasks that require initiative and follow-up, we are looking for someone who works in an innovative manner and is ready to drive things forward. At the same time, you will be analytically well-grounded and strive to put ideas into action using data-driven approaches.
We also imagine that you:
- hold a relevant educational background in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or similar
- have a minimum of three years’ experience in a role within physical power trading or portfolio management of physical assets
- have proficiency in Python and SQL
- possess strong quantitative skills, with the ability to analyse complex data sets, develop statistical models and apply quantitative methods to optimise portfolio performance
