You will work at the center of our flexible asset management team, using data and analytical tools to answer the questions that shape how we price, operate, and improve a growing portfolio of flexible assets.
Here’s what the job entails
In the role, your primary function will be to deliver analytical insights that enable Portfolio Managers to steer profitability, pricing, and risk across flexible asset portfolios. You will act as a central analytical partner to commercial decision-makers, translating complex market data and performance patterns into clear implications and recommended actions.
Concretely, your areas of responsibility will include:
assessing portfolio performance to identify profitability drivers and deviations
creating and maintaining analytical tools that support evaluation of portfolio and asset performance, risk, pricing
defining and monitoring key KPIs to highlight trends in portfolio management and operational patterns.
evaluating incidents and market developments to understand commercial impact and improve portfolio management accordingly
building scenarios and business cases to support commercial decisions on opportunities, contracts, and pricing
Meet your team
Our primary responsibility is to connect flexible asset owners to power markets, help them navigate complex conditions, and optimise the value of their energy across all markets, ensuring their assets participate in the right opportunities and capture the full potential of flexibility.
You will join a team of nine, with varying backgrounds within finance, economics, engineering, and data analytics. We are united by an interest in energy markets and asset value creation. We collaborate across commercial, portfolio management, and technical roles to deliver reliable products for our customers, ensuring their assets are used efficiently through continuous market analysis and critical thinking.
But enough about us… over to you!
You tackle problems using a structured, data-driven approach, ensuring transparent and reliable analyses that support decision making. You can influence decisions amid uncertainty and imperfect information, balancing analytical rigor with a pragmatic sense of when an analysis is good enough to move a decision forward
Furthermore, we imagine that you:
hold a relevant master’s degree within business economics, economics, finance, or a similar discipline
have 2-3 years of experience from an analytical or commercial role where you worked with data to support decision-making, performance analysis, or business cases
have experience with analytical tools such as SQL, Python, PowerBI, or similar and are comfortable working with large and complex datasets
have experience translating analyses into clear insights and recommended actions
Please note that prior knowledge of the energy sector is not required for this role.
