Here’s what the job entails
As our new Compliance Officer, your primary role will be to lead our Compliance team. This includes day-to-day leadership as well as managing and developing Danske Commodities’ compliance programme, covering both energy and financial regulations along with business ethics – in close collaboration with the team.
Your areas of responsibility will include:
leading, motivating and developing the Compliance team, fostering an inclusive and high-performance team environment
staying on top of regulatory developments and business ethics requirements, including REMIT, MAR, EMIR, MiFID, data protection, sanctions and anti-money laundering
translating your knowledge into clear and practical advice and compliance programmes for company activities, while driving a strong compliance culture through close cooperation with stakeholders across our commercial business activities
leading and directing the review, implementation and communication of robust and globally consistent policies, guidelines and procedures
executing compliance training for trading teams and other relevant employees across the organisation
Meet your team
You will join our Compliance team, which is part of the overall Legal & Compliance business unit. We are responsible for managing Danske Commodities’ compliance programme and business ethics, both locally and globally, and we collaborate closely with stakeholders across our commercial activities.
We are a team of six dedicated and motivated specialists and analysts with a shared drive for compliance. We have a strong focus on teamwork, and we like to share our knowledge and experience with each other – and there is always room for a good laugh.
But enough about us… over to you!
As you will be stepping into a leadership role with compliance responsibility in an ever-evolving industry, we imagine that you see opportunities where others see problems and apply a pragmatic approach to problem-solving. You are motivated and thrive on taking responsibility, and you enjoy driving things forward and challenging the status quo when needed.
We also imagine that you:
hold a relevant educational background in law
have at least four years’ experience from a similar role in compliance or energy trading
are motivated by leadership and driving high performance
have solid knowledge of energy trading regulations such as REMIT, MAR, EMIR and MiFID
