You will join an ever-evolving energy trading industry and play an important role in the daily operation of our Asset Management business - ensuring that systems and daily nomination processes are always working as intended and assets are responding as expected.
Here’s what the job entails
In this role, your primary responsibility will include covering the operational shift, monitoring our assets such as CHPs, batteries and renewables assets. You will act as the link between all our customers’ assets and the power market, maintaining continuous dialogue with asset operators to ensure seamless operations.
More specifically, your responsibilities include:
monitoring real-time activity of our assets to ensure accurate dispatch, including external communication, system surveillance and ad-hoc problem solving
taking part in covering the 24/7 shift for our asset management. The team covers three shifts on a rotation of 07:00-15:00, 15:00-22:00 and 22:00-07:00. The latter is currently covered via an on-call shift
providing critical problem solving to ensure continuous reliability of our services
supporting on ad-hoc tasks and projects
Meet your team
As our new Junior Asset Operations specialist, you will join our Asset Management Operations team, where we operate Danske Commodities’ Asset portfolio. Our core function is to ensure stable operations and restore asset and trading activities when unexpected incidents occur. We continuously balance internal development opportunities with our customers’ expectations. The team is currently on a growth journey, with a growing number of asset portfolios, and we are looking for a new team member to take part in the operational shift scheme.
We are a team of 10 specialists within Asset & Trading Operations, and we are a dedicated and motivated team that always seeks to maximise value for both our business and the asset owners who trust us with their assets.

As you will be working with critical power grid systems and data that require great attention to detail, we are looking for someone who is well-structured, precise and motivated by taking responsibility and helping ensure reliable operations for our customers. Since the team covers a wide range of tasks, and supports each other in getting the job done, it is important that you have a positive attitude where no job is seen as too big or too small.
Furthermore, we imagine that you:
are currently enrolled in an education within Business, Engineering or similar
can work approximately 15-20 hours per week (most of the shifts will be evening shifts from 14:45-22:00)
are motivated by delivering excellent customer service, monitoring processes and creating value for our customers
are proficient in Danish and English – both written and spoken
Please note that prior knowledge of the energy sector is not required for this role.
